Damn, i wish i knew whether that was legit or not. Id sell my car in a heartbeat if that's for real. Id go ahead an pick up a supra or skyline. Well, why not both since they're only like 8 or 9 grand on that website, lol.

But how much would it cost you to get them over here? I mean those prices are low but thats still in japan right? wont it cost you a lot more to get it here?

even if you got one here, it wouldnt be street legal. You'd have to find some way to register it. Of course it is possible to do legitamately (sp?) but most of the time its a matter of how to get around the rules and regulations. For instance GRNxS14, you could import an s15 and swap all the VIN numbers off your s14 onto it. Trash the s14 at a junk yard and *poof* youve got a registered s15.

so i emailed someone about one of the skylines and they say it would cost 750 bucks to ship a skyline to long beach CA. He said get him the info on the nearest port to here and he will get me a quote. If this is for real, im having an r32 gtr imported.

Isn't that illegal to ship a whole skyline over? Or am I thinking wrong....Because I know one Legal way to ship a skyline over is to do it parts by parts

its not illegal to do, its just difficult to get past customs with it. Pretty much it comes down to money. If youve got the funds you can do anything you want. But, there are always ways around things like customs, the most popular is shipping the car over in 2 pieces. But in all honesty the best way to do it, is to find a member of the military and pay them to use their military benefits to get it here. If you get a car that we already have here, its MUCH easier for sure.
I also know some people in japan that are willing to help me out. A good friend of mine moved to the states from japan about 3 years ago, I think im going to go to japan this spring with her for a few weeks.

chances are slim to none, but if i can get one to long beach CA. ill go get it from there. No big deal. But problem is getting it past customs. Im going to call customs later this week and see if its illegal to import a car for strictly off road use only. I know its a bit bigger of a deal to get a car legalized to drive on the roads.

I hate to break it to you all but in the end it is much cheaper to buy one already registered **IMO** i have heard many horror stories about getting those cars registerd. The best way mentioned so far was the guy who talked about the military and having a friend bring it back from japan with him ,that will help for sure. If you want to know how do it goto vwvortex.com (vw site) and search for audi a3 , the guy made a huge thread on it and was actaully succesful in the end it could possibly help you out.
Good luck though i would love to see japenese spec cars cruising around ohio also aren't there already 3 skylines that are here, a black one for sure.

When did i ever say "HEY GUYS THIS IS A NEW THREAD SO IM GOING TO POST IN IT" ? I was just posting because I thought it was a good thread and unlike alot of the other threads this one could actaully help some one out. I had some input on the topic so i shared it, now can you please explain to me why the fuck you decided to jump my ass for no fucking reason ?
p.s. i did read the rules and it never said anything about posting in old threads nor did it say that people will act like complete d-bags for no apparent reason, unless of course you have a reason, but im going to guess its just because you are flaming faggot and you have been made fun of your whole life.

i looked all over that forum and couldnt find the thread youre talking about. you cant search less than 3 characters so "A3" wont help and searching for "audi" on that site is like searching for "honda" on this one, lol.
