Ok so I have had a ton of cars since my last 88 CRX. Well some were nice and some were fun, but nothing was like my good old REX.

Anyways, before I get all sentimental on everyone, I just bought another CRX today. Here are the specs:

91 CRX - D16a6 Swapped motor
I/H/E/
Drilled & Slotted Rotors
Coilovers
Stage 2 Clutch
Flywheel and Underdrive

My question is this. I dont want to swap the motor yet. I prefer to beat on it as the SOHC that it is. So I will be doing the Z6 Mini-me head swap. Has anyone ever done this? If so what type of computer, VTECH Controller, Fuel Pressure Regulator, etc have you used successfully? My last CRX was a ZC with all the mentioned above and a modded Tranny (Final drive Swap). I really loved the balls this car had. Can I get pretty close to this with the setup I mention above?

Thanks...

When you do your swap are you gonna stay obd0? If you plan on doing a obd1 conversion, I say buy the stuff now n use a p28 to run the a6/z6...

I agree OBD0 is junk...Convert up to OBD1 and save yourself the nightmare. my opinion on the setup, depends on tuning really.

Yeah i seems the way to go is the p28.

Any other ideas on mods I should do?

Maybe some rods, pistons, and slap a turbo on that SOHC?

If you're gonna go that route, I say there is only one piston to put in a stock sleeve d. ycp vitara's. This guy is probably the most reputable seller of these slugs...

Since it's an a6 you may want to look into his long rod setup too...

here's a video of the current record holder with these pistons:

oh and he's going for 9's n 140+ traps with pistons that are $125w/rings:

Idk if I'd say obd0 is junk, this car is obd0:

I will agree that obd1 is far superior though...

Well I appreciate all the help but the A**hole decided to sell it to someone else when I went to go pick it up. Really awesome.

So if anyone knows of a nice Hatch/CRX/Civic for around $1500-2000 let me know. Thx.
